The Eternal Rivalry Continues!

Ever since Asian Cricket Council released the Asia Cup 2022 schedule, it was largely anticipated that India and Pakistan would face each other at least twice or thrice (if both teams reach the finals). In the campaign opener between the archrivals on August 28, India managed to cross the line in a high-tension match. Both the teams are now qualified for Super Four and take on each other again to keep the rivalry alive on September 4. While India enters the match with immense confidence from their last victory, Pakistan will play to restore the pride. Dubai will host another exciting contest of India vs Pakistan this Sunday. Although both the neighbour teams look alike in all departments, Men in Blue have a slight edge over Babar Azam-led Pakistan. The last match at the same venue was an absolute mouth-watering thriller where India finished the line in a thrilling final over. India and Pakistan have registered victories against Hong Kong to qualify for the Super Fours.

India brings in Axar Patel in place of Ravindra Jadeja, who was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. Virat Kohli's back to form is fantastic news for his fans. Surya Kumar Yadav was unstoppable in the previous match. Rohit Sharma needs to take charge and chip in the beginning. Bowling seems a matter of concern for team India. Bhuvneshwar is brilliant in the powerplays. Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh proved expensive against Hong Kong. For Pakistan, Babar Azam failed to provide a much-needed start in both games. The team wants him to bounce back and lead from the front. Rizwan's terrific form is a boost to the side. Pakistan wants Kushdil Shah to provide another same fiery inning against Hong Kong. Young Naseem Shah, Nawaz and Shahdab Khan have displayed brilliant performances in both games. Both teams will likely stick to the same squads and not experiment in a crucial game. While a victory will take the team to the next level, it's the end of the campaign for the losing side.
