The Indian Cricket team is busy recently with continuous tournaments like Nidahas Trophy, England tour, Asia Cup, and now the Windies tour of India. Though performed well in the Nidahas Trophy, and Asia Cup, Team India slightly stumbled in the England tour and managed to secure two victories out of three in T20s, 1 out of 3 ODIs, and 1 out of 5 Test matches. The tour delivered a catastrophic blow to the Indian team, but the team soon bounced back with the Asia Cup.
Cricket fanatics witnessed a wonderful performance from Team India in the Asia Cup. India cleared the tournament with 90% wins and one match resulting in a tie. Team India battled with Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh in Asia Cup and won the tournament by defeating Bangladesh in a tight final match. The tournament was captained by Rohit Sharma and the man delivered his best by lifting the prestigious trophy.
Windies Tour of India
Windies Tour of India commenced on 04th of October 2018, soon after the completion of the Asia Cup. India Captain Virat Kohli who was rested for the Asia Cup tournament was back in Action in this tour. The tour comprises of 2 Test matches, 5 ODIs, and 3 T20s. Indian team once again performed at a superlative level and won both the tests against West Indies with flying colors.
The first of ODIs commenced on 21st of October and India won the match. The second ODI is taking place today, on 24th October 2018 and it will be exciting to see both the teams battle it out viciously. Indian team is on a roll since the commencement of the tour and the West Indies team is desperate for a win which will be a great motivator for them to put forward their best efforts.
The ODI Indian team comprises of the best of players like Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja, Lokesh Rahul, Ambati Rayudu, Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni, Rishabh Pant, Mohammad Shami, K Khaleel Ahmed, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav.
The West Indies team consists of Jason Holder (C), Sunil Ambris, Shai Hope, Ashley Nurse, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Devendra Bishoo, Ashley Nurse, Kemar Roach, Marlon Samuels, Fabian Allen, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Oshane Thomas, Obed McCoy, Kieran Powell.
All the matches are organized in various Indian cities. The first test was played in Rajkot, second in Hyderabad. The first ODI was played in Guwahati, and the rest of the four ODIs will be played in Visakhapatnam, Pune, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram respectively. The three T20Is will be played in Kolkata, Lucknow, and Chennai respectively.
