Shahid and Shraddha Kapoor’s Social themed film puts forth one of the most prevalent problems in an entertaining way. It also stars Divyendu Sharma and Yami Gautham in key roles. The film was directed by Shree Narayan Singh who directed the film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha in the past.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu narrates a compelling story about inflation of electric bills by private companies. Started off on a simple note, the film takes you deeper into a problem that is disregarded as nothing in many rural areas in India. Shahid Kapoor plays the role of an advocate fighting for his friend who commits suicide because he couldn’t pay bills. How he manages to make his argument and wins the case makes up for the rest of the movie.

Vijay Devarakonda’s unique new film Taxiwala casts Vijay Devarakonda, Priyanka Jawalkar, and Malavika Nair in the lead roles. The film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan who had directed the film “The End” in the past.
Taxiwala is built on an unconventional storyline which had been projected wonderfully by the director and portrayed beautifully by the lead actors. The film narrates the story of a taxi driver who comes into contact with a ghost when he buys a vintage car. How the ghost gets into the car and how the driver and his friends manage to get back to normalcy after their encounter with the ghost car forms the crux of the story.
