Lauded as two of the highest grossing films released recently the films held themselves in the highest regard among the audience and the critics.

KGF
Written and Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF is a Kannada Period Action film starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Anant Nag, and Vasishta N Simha. The film is the first installment in the two-part series which narrates the journey of a guy who is in search of power and money.
KGF was dubbed and released in four languages namely Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. The film was praised by the audience and critics alike not just for the performances of the actors but also for the narration, art direction, stunts, background score, etc. The film stood out to be the highest grossing Kannada Film ever.

Maari-2
Another great recent release in Tamil Maari-2 casts Dhanush and Sai Pallavi in the leading roles along with Krishna Kulasekharan, Tovino Thomas, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, and Vidya Pradeep. Maari-2 is written and directed by Balaji Mohan and the music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is the continuation of Maari which was released in 2015.
Maari-2’s story revolves around a naughty but righteous don who picks a lot of enemies along the journey. The trouble comes when he has to face a deadly criminal who considers himself God of Death. Maari-2 is an entertainer that is filled with laughing sequences with Dhanush at his best and Sai Pallavi alongside.
