One of the most recent Blockbusters that
have stirred up the emotions of Telugu audience in Sports genre is Nani’s
Jersey. The film that was directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri and cast Nani and
Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles derived its music from Anirudh Ravichander.
The film also has Sathyaraj, Harish Kalyan, Sampath Raj, Sanusha, and Viswant
in supporting roles. Jersey received a high rating from the critics as well as
the audience and is one of the top grossers in 2019.
The film depicts the story of a former
cricketer who gets into the Indian cricket team after a massive gap for the
sake of his son. The film concentrates on the struggles a sportsman had to go
through if his career is obstructed, the complications that arise in a
low-income family, and the difficulties that he had to overcome to get back
into the team. Emphasizing Family emotions and the sensitive bond between
father and a son, the movie is an absolute delight to watch.
Jersey’s amazing run in the theatres was
fueled by the wonderful performances from the lead actor and actress along with
Sathyaraj and the supporting staff. Nowhere does the movie deviates from its
storyline or the emotion that it is trying to establish. Being among the very
few Sports related movies in Telugu Industry, Jersey can be defined as a
cinematic marvel.
