Much to our respite, Asianet, one of the most loved channels for Malayalam content has come up with an impressive lineup of Premier Movies. The list involves the latest releases that are airing on the TV for the first time. There’s crime, there’s romance, there’s lot’s of drama but more than anything, there are top stars on the list.

The Priest:

Starring the flawless Mammootty, the star performer Manju Warrier, and Nikhila Vimal, The Priest is a mystery thriller. The story involves an investigative turn as it revolves around the Priest-detective, Fr Carmen Benedict, who has to solve a slew of paranormal mysteries. Joji:

Joji, featuring the performer extraordinaire, Fahadh Faasil in a lead role, is a crime drama. The story revolves around Joji, the youngest son of a rich family, who is also an engineering dropout. Just like everyone has dreams, Joji has one too. The dream of becoming a super wealthy man. After being looked down upon by his father for being a loser, Joji’s life takes a steep turn. Driven by greed and blind ambition, he is set to achieve his goals. What will his life look like? Watch the movie to know his story.

Kho Kho:

Kho Kho, starring Rajisha Vijayan and Mamitha Baiju, is not your usual sports drama but is a story of dreams. A story of an inspiring legacy. Kho Kho revolves around Maria Francis, a former athlete and a Kho Kho school coach. It is a relevant story of a gifted athlete passing on her passion to the next generation.

Aarkkariyam:

Aarkkariyam, a light-hearted film starring Biju Menon, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Saiju Kurup, and Sharafudheen perfectly drives off the darkness in our lives. The story is about Shirley and Roy, who are dealing with financial crisis and leave their Mumbai home in the middle of an impending Covid lock-down. The couple arrives at Shirley's hometown where her father Ittyavira stays. Roy soon discovers that her home is not what he actually expected it to be. What’s so life changing about it?

One:

Another Mammootty starrer to treat yourself with. This latest political drama revolves around The Chief Minister of Kerala, Kadakkal Chandran, who takes a firm stand against political corruption. He soon earns enemies and has to deal with an even more intense twist as he faces allegations himself. Do not miss out on this political thriller on YuppTV.

Irul:

Just like it’s name suggests, Irul is as dark and thrilling as a Fahadh Faasil movie can get. With surprise twists, realistic characters, and an engaging story, Irul is a mystery thriller. A car breakdown forces a couple to seek shelter at a stranger’s house. Conversations with him are unnerving, to say the least, and reveal that there is a killer among them. Who is the killer? Sulthan:

The high voltage action drama, Sulthan featuring Karthi is one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Aanum Pennum:

Among a plethora of New-age films, Aanum Pennum stands out. The film is about relationships, and how important the little things are to keep them strong. As it explores multiple stories of man-woman bonds in multiple dimensions. Each segment tells a story on romance, betrayal, lust and other important elements of the relationship. The anthology features an ensemble cast of Basil Joseph, Kaviyoor Poonnamma, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Asif Ali, Samyuktha Menon, Indrajith Sukumaran, Nedumudi Venu, Roshan Mathew, and Joju George.
