The show was being aired on Colors Television every day on weekdays and weekends and is one of the most popular shows on Hindi Television. BB 13 has begun on 29th September 2019 with Bollywood Actor Salman Khan as its host. It was initially scheduled to run till the end of January but given the popularity and the ratings, it was extended for five weeks postponing the finale to mid-February.

Bigg Boss season 13 had begun with 13 participants which was later increased to 22. 6 of these were wild card entries namely Shefali Jariwala, Tehseen Poonawalla, Vikas Pathak aka Hindustani Bhau, Vishal Aditya Singh, Khesari Lal Yadav, and Himanshi Khurana. The other participants are Koena Mitra, Siddhartha Dey, Abu Malik, Devoleena Bhattacharya, Arhaan Khan, Shefali Bagga, Madhurima Tuli, Sidharth Shukla, Shehnaz Gill, Rashami Desai, Paras Chhabra, Mahira Sharma, Asim Riaz, Arti Singh, Dallijet Kaur, and Vikas Gupta.

The season had been one of the most exciting ones given its participants, injuries during the tasks, and wild card entries. Devoleena Bhattacharya had to leave the house because of a spinal cord injury during a task. Paras Chhabra’s Thumb surgery and Sidharth Shukla coming down with Typhoid have been some mentionable happenings in the season. The season also had 6 wild card entries and witnessed plenty of shocking revelations from the contestants and outbursts from the host making it all the more intriguing.

Of all the participants Arti Singh, Asim Riaz, Mahira Sharma, Paras Chhabra, Rashami Desai, Shehnaaz Gill, and Sidharth Shukla reached the final week. Three of these contestants Arti Singh, Mahira Sharma, and Shehnaz Gill were nominated for a mid-week elimination. With Mahira Sharma making her exit from the show, the remaining contestants will continue to the finale with the rest.

Bigg Boss season 2 has commenced on Asianet and it is bigger than ever!

Bigg Boss Season 1 has been one of the biggest Reality shows in the history of Malayalam Television. The concept of the show which was derived from the Big Brother Reality show in the Netherlands has entered India a decade ago. It had a slow advancement in the Southern parts of India but finally entered Malayalam Television in 2018. The season 1 which was hosted by Mollywood Superstar Mohanlal lasted 98 days and was a great hit.

 

Season 2 had commenced on the 5th of Jan with the same host and an invariant mix of contestants. Season 2 comprises of Film Actors Rajini Chandy, Saju Navodaya, Thesni Khan, TV Actors Manju Sunichen, Pradeep Chandran, and Veena Nair, Models Alasandra Johnson, Reshma Rajan, Sujo Mathew, TV Anchors Alina Padikkal, Arya Rohit, RJ Raghu Subhash, Singers Pareekutty Perumbavoor, Somadas, Social Activist Dr. Ranjith Kumar, Internet Celebrity Krishnajeev (Fukru) and Suresh Krishnan.

Bigg Boss season 1 has seen the appearance of many celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Stephen Devassy, Mohammad Ghibran, Anant Mahadevan and Pooja Kumar apart from Mohanlal. The season 1 had garnered a viewership of 20.5 million for the premiere with a TVR rating of 10.33. The number rose to 60.15 million for the Finale and garnered a TRP Rating of 30.99. Season 2 is expected to be bigger and could witness the guest appearance of more celebrities.

The season 2 is being shot at Chennai instead of at Lonavala where the first season has been shot. With the show lasting a total of 105 days, the grand finale will be on 19th April 2020. The show is being aired on Asianet from 09:30 to 11:00 PM IST on weekdays and 09:00 PM to 10:30 PM IST on Weekends.

Among them Ali Reza, Hema, Himaja, Mahesh Vitta, Punarnavi Bhupalam, Ravi Krishna, Rohini Nori, Varun Sandesh, and Vrithika Sheru are Actors/ Actresses, Jaffar Babu, Siva Jyothi, and Sreemukhi are TV Anchors, Rahul Sipligunj is the Singer, Baba Bhasker is the Choreographer and Ashu Reddy is a Social Media Star. The show didn’t involve any common people or Film Critic/ Humanist this season.
