Bigg Boss Season 3 First Elimination This Week on Star Maa Live

New Shows are Beginning every month and it can be tough to pick the best ones to stick with for the next few months. While it is a coin toss with brand new shows with novel concepts, entertainment is always guaranteed with recurring shows. This is also the main reason behind the repeated successes of reality shows. One of these special shows that have struck a fine chord in the heart of Telugu audiences is Bigg Boss.

Began gloriously in 2017 with Popular Actor Jr NTR as its host, Bigg Boss Telugu is one of the few foreign shows that Telugu audience has accepted as their own. As is common knowledge the show derives its base concept from a Dutch reality show with the name Big Brother. Bigg Boss show had become a part of Hindi television in 2006. Though it took a decade for it to reach regional languages like Telugu, it was still a risk from the side of Producers to begin a show with a concept that is too modern for a culturally rich South Indian Audience.

Surprisingly, the first season was a massive success which led to the show continuing with second and third seasons. The first season hosted by Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao Jr. was incredibly popular among the audience. The second season brought in Telugu Actor Nani as its host and this had taken the popularity of the show to a different level. Season 2 became incredibly popular among the Telugu youth that it was all over social media. The supporters for various contestants formed groups on social media platforms which led to the show attaining uproarious popularity.

The season 3 of Bigg Boss has begun on 21st July 2019 and it is being hosted by Veteran Actors Akkineni Nagarjuna. Season 3 has 15 unique contestants from various walks of life. Among them Ali Reza, Hema, Himaja, Mahesh Vitta, Punarnavi Bhupalam, Ravi Krishna, Rohini Nori, Varun Sandesh, and Vrithika Sheru are Actors/ Actresses, Jaffar Babu, Siva Jyothi, and Sreemukhi are TV Anchors, Rahul Sipligunj is the Singer, Baba Bhasker is the Choreographer and Ashu Reddy is a Social Media Star. The show didn’t involve any common people or Film Critic/ Humanist this season.

Bigg Boss season 3 is aired every day on Star Maa Live at 09:30 PM on the weekdays and at 09:00 PM on the weekends and can be watched on YuppTV from select regions in the world. The show can also be accessed using the YuppTV App on Smart Televisions, Smartphones, and other internet-enabled devices.

Star Maa’s Brand-New Show Great Telugu Laughter Challenge introduces Stand Up to Telugu Audience

Stand Up, something unknown to the Telugu audience is now being introduced through the Star Maa Television’s brand-new show, Great Telugu Laughter Challenge. Telugu Actor, Star Comedian, Guinness World Record Holder, and Padma Shri Awardee Brahmanandam is the judge of this show. Great Telugu laughter challenge is the Telugu version of the highly popular Hindi shows Great Indian laughter challenge. The Telugu show will commence from 6th of October 2018 on Star Maa TV and you can watch it Live on YuppTV from select regions.

Before you want to know what, the show is about let us know something about stand-up comedy.
Stand Up comedy is an art form where an individual performs on stage in front of a live audience and makes them laugh by reciting jokes, stories, anecdotes, one-liners etc. The art form has been around since 400 BC and was used by critics to express their views and opinions without censorship. It once again took pace in the 18th and the 19th centuries in UK and US.

Though a similar kind of art forms with the names Burra Kathalu (Telugu), Chakyar Koothu (Malayalam) is prominent in India (Chakyar Koothu- since 16-17th centuries & Burra Kathalu since the 1940s), stand up comedy as a mainstream art form entered India in the late 20th century. Comedians like Johnny Lever, etc., acted as fillers in many Bollywood Functions in the 1980s. It was only in 2005 that India has come up with its own version of Stand Up providing a pedestal to the comedians through the Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

Indian Stand Up grew at an exorbitant pace from then on and now Stand Up comedians perform across India in various cities mostly in Hindi and English. Though familiar to Hindi audience from a long time, modern standup is practically unknown to ordinary Telugu audience. Some programs like Patas, have encouraged stand up but they were short 3-5 minute skits that seemed like fillers.

About Great Telugu Laughter Challenge:

The show is first of its kind in Telugu and has recently conducted auditions in major cities of Andhra Pradesh looking for contestants. With the completion of the auditions, it is all set and ready to be broadcast on Star Maa TV channel from 06th October 2018. It will be broadcast every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) at 09:00 PM IST. You can watch the Great Telugu Laughter Challenge on Star Maa Live on YuppTV from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Who do you think will win Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2?

Bigg Boss Telugu 2 being hosted by Nani is close to completion. With just 2 weeks left in the show, the audience had already witnessed the eviction of most of the contestants from the house. The show though had a slow start gained momentum after weeks and is now the highest rated show in Telugu. It has now arrived at the season finale which is going to be aired on, Sunday, 30th September 2018.

Commenced on June 10th, 2018, Bigg Boss Telugu season 2 comprised of 16 contestants from various sectors of Entertainment industry. The season differed from the first as it involved 3 commoners along with Actors, Anchors, Singers, and a Humanist. While this slightly helped raise the viewership of the show, the increased drama and daily dose of entertainment it has offered were the main reasons that the show became hugely popular.

It has also witnessed the appearance of many Celebrity guests like Kamal Haasan, Tapsee Pannu, Aadhi Pinisetty, Ritika Singh, Srinivas Reddy, Vennela Kishore, Sai Dharam Tej, Anupama Parameswaran, Pradeep Machiraju, Lakshmi Manchu, Anasuya Bharadwaj, etc.,

The show till date has completed more than 100 days and there are only a few days left of it to come to an end. Only 5 out of the 16 contestants are still in the house and out of these, only one of the contestants is going to win the title. This had made the final few episodes of the show not only overtly melodramatic but also ruthlessly competitive. The few contestants that are still living in the house are Deepthi Nallamothu, Geetha Madhuri, Kaushal, Samrat Reddy, and Tanish.

The house now holds only the strongest of contestants who are determined to win and have survived until now against all odds. Out of the 5 contestants that are left, Kaushal earned a cult following among the Telugu youth and his fans are campaigning obstinately to make him win. And according to the polls that are conducted in unofficial websites, Kaushal is ahead of other contestants by a significant difference. The chances of him winning the Bigg Boss finale massive but the finale might surprise the audience.

So, Don’t Miss the Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2 Grand Finale on 30th September 2018 on Star Maa Live on YuppTV Now to watch. The show is available in the following regions only in Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, and in Europe (except Spain, Israel, Italy, Nordic, Portugal, and the UK).

What can Fans Expect in the last month of Bigg Boss Telugu and Tamil

India’s most popular show that has entered Telugu and Tamil languages in the last year Bigg Boss has become a captivating success. Consequently, the show returned with the second season which has commenced in June and has made the audience glue themselves to the television.

The show is a massive success in both Telugu and Tamil languages. Both the seasons of Bigg Boss Tamil were hosted by Kamal Haasan whereas in the Telugu version of Bigg Boss the first season was hosted by Actor Jr. NTR and the second season was hosted by Actor Nani.

Since both the shows have started in June, they have completed a lion’s share of episodes and only have a month left to go. Here are the highlights of what happened so far and a glimpse of what can the audience expect from the leftover period.

Bigg Boss Telugu season 2

Bigg Boss Telugu season 2 differed from season 1 as it allowed 3 ordinary people to spend their days in the house along with the celebrities. While this spiced up the show a bit, the most interesting element of this season is that the reality show has become quite popular among the youth of both the Telugu states.

With contestants like Tanish, Tejaswi, Geetha Madhuri, Kaushal, Amit Tiwari, Bhanu Sree, Deepthi Sunaina, etc., the youth has divided themselves between Kaushal, Tejaswi, Tanish, Babu Gogineni, etc. Naming themselves as Armies (Eg: Kaushal Army), the number of memes that are flooding the internet became the major source of entertainment for people.

Among the 16 contestants that initially entered the house and 2 wild card entries, Tanish, Samrat, Kaushal, Amit, Ganesh, Roll Rida, Geetha Madhuri, Shyamala, Deepthi Nallamothu, and Pooja Ramachandran are left in the house. Known to be the strongest contenders, the competition to survive in the days left would be tough but entertaining as well.

Bigg Boss Tamil season 2

Hosted by Kamal Haasan, Bigg Boss Tamil season 2 also connected very well with the Tamil audience. Season 2 of Bigg Boss Tamil also welcomed 16 contestants at the beginning and later allowed one wild card entry into the house.

Out of these 16 contestants, Contestants Daniel, Mumtaz, Aishwarya, Yashika, Bhalaji, Mahat, Janani Iyer, Rythvika, and Sendrayan are currently in the house. Since only a month and a half is left for the show to come to an end, the competition would be tough, and the show would be more dramatic than ever.

Bigg Boss Season 2 Returns on Star Maa with Nani as the Host

One of the most popular reality shows in India, has made its entry into Telugu language in 2017 with Ace Actor Jr NTR as the host. The show was welcomed by the Telugu audience and was a massive success. The first season of the show which involved Celebrities like Siva Balaji, Archana, Mumaith Khan, Navdeep, Aadarsh, Kathi Mahesh, Prince Cecil, Sameer Hasan, Diksha Panth, Sampoornesh Babu, Dhanraj, etc., stood out as one of the most watched Telugu shows of the time.

The second season of the show of which Nani is the host, has commenced on Sunday, 10th June 2017. Bigg Boss Season 2 got better this time with more number of contestants and is going to last for more days than Bigg Boss 1. As opposed to season 1, Bigg Boss season 2 is going to include 16 contestants from the beginning and will last for more than 100 days instead of 70. The season 2 is taking place in Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad whereas the first season was shot in Lonavla, Mumbai.

Bigg Boss season 2 differed in the selection of contestants as well since no contestant of Bigg Boss 2 is a super star that people can root for.
