The 19th Annual IIFA Awards honoring the astounding talent existent in Hindi Film industry has been organized in June 2018. Reputable as one of the most prestigious award to earn, IIFA awards stands for International Indian Film Academy Awards. Initiated in the year 2000, IIFA award ceremonies are conducted in various venues in different countries across the world. The 19th Annual IIFA Awards ceremony happened in Bangkok from 22nd June to 24th June 2018 with the award ceremony happening on 24th June.
All the Ace Bollywood Actors and Technical Talent graced the event with their presence and performances.
The glamor filled event was hosted by Ayushmann Khurana, Kartik Aaryan, Karan Johar, and Riteish Deshmukh and Actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Nushrat Bharucha, Mouni Roy, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, made the night glitter with their splendid performances. Some of the talented singers like Pritam, Amit Mishra, Shalmali Kholgade, Nikhita Gandhi, Shahid Mallya, Sree Ram, etc., are also among the performers who graced the night.
The night was made special with the performance of legendary Actress Rekha who performed on stage after a gap of 20 years.
Of the many different nominees, there are actors and actresses who gave amazing performances in films like Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Newton, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan, Secret Superstar, Mom, Tumhari Sulu, Hindi Medium, etc. Many of the actors like Akshay Kumar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irrfan Khan, etc., were honored with awards in various categories along with the men responsible for the making of these films.
Besides histrionics, “IIFA awards” honors the technical staff of the film too. Awards are bestowed for personnel who contributed in categories like Background Score, Screenplay, Dialogues, Choreography, Cinematography, Editing, Lyrics, Playback Singers (Male and Female), Sound Design, and Special Effects.
