Depicting the Tales of Lord Vishnu and Shiva, “Namah” is soon commencing on Star Plus


Mythological Shows bear a special fascination among the people of India. The graphic visual depiction of stories that we have read or only heard from our ancestors is an exciting factor and is something that people of all ages can look forward to. Plenty of mythological serials like Mahabharat, Vishnupuran, Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Om Namah Shivay, Ramayan, etc., have already been aired on Indian Television before and were loved by the audience.

Star plus had previously aired Mahabharata, and Karn Sangini, which depicted the tales of Mahabharata War and the story of the wife of Karn. Mahabharata was aired between 2013 and 2014 and Karn Sangini was aired between 2018 and 2019. Mahabharata was highly popular and was known to every Indian household in its period. Karn Sangini as can be interpreted by the name is the story of Karna’s Wife.


Namah completely differs in its concept from its predecessors as it depicts the story of the friendship between two different Gods Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. While the details of the plot have not been revealed, it has been announced that Vikas Manaktala would be portraying the role of Lord Shiva and Savi Thakur will be playing Lord Vishnu. Actors like Hemant Choudhary, Chhavi Pandey, Yukti Kapoor, Zalak Desai, etc., will be seen in prominent roles.


The show is being produced by Ved Raj under Shoonya Square productions. It is reported that the team had been uncompromising in the VFX department and rumor is that over Rs 3 million was being spent per episode. Many national and international VFX Agencies have been roped into work on the show. Another detail that has been revealed is that two Gods were portrayed diversely in the show. With Lord Vishnu being against the background of Warm Orange and Yellow, Lord Show will be depicted in Cool Blues and Greys.


Namah will premiere on 23rd September and will air from Monday to Friday at 07:00 PM. You can watch it on Star Plus Live on YuppTV from all the available regions.
