Among all of TV channels’ main attractions, Reality TV shows have of late, become a large part of our lives. They have set high standards by showcasing awe-inspiring talent and moving real-life stories. These shows garner a lot of viewership and are widely loved.
Reality shows are not
just about the formats or content, but also the participants. The inspiring
journeys of the contestant’s tug at our hearts and this is one of the reasons
why there is such a deep connection between the audience and the show. Voting
for our Favourite contestants and showing support to them online is a way of
sending them love. We smile with them, cry with them, and celebrate their victories.
We look forward to going home after a long working day to sit with a bowl of
snacks and watch our favorite contestants perform.
Two such chartbuster
shows of Sony TV are Indian Idol and Kaun Banega Crorepati. They have managed
to keep the audience hooked to the screens for many years now and still remain
on the top.
Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 12
Amitabh Bachchan’s KBC, Season 12 premiere aired on 28 September, with the tagline "Jo bhi ho, har setback ka jawab comeback se do" and looks like the show is living up to its tagline. The pandemic called for minor changes in the format and the filming occurred without a studio audience, but it continues to entertain. For the first time in the history of the
show, a contestant came to the hot seat without playing the Fastest Finger
First round, as there were no other contestants left. The show has had
four crorepatis so far. However, no one has been able to crack the 7-crore
question yet.
Indian Idol, is another such show which
brings entertainment season after season. Contestants from various states and
corners of India are auditioned and talented singers are selected. The show
gave birth to a lot of amazing singers and performers, who reached heights thanks
to their talent. Every season, a panel of supremely talented musicians judges
the performances and mentors the contestants.
Amidst the pandemic, the show provides a
much needed and melodious musical treat. Taking on the mantle as judges, youth
icon Neha Kakkar, renowned music composer-singer Vishal Dadlani and veteran
music director-singer Himesh Reshammiya, Indian Idol, season 12, is hosted by
Aditya Narayan.
