The movie is a directorial debut of Actress Seema Pahwa, whose performances in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan had won hearts. Coming to the film’s story, it revolves around a person's death and the events unfolding until the 13th day of the funeral rituals, which is called the 'tehrvi'.
After the demise of the elderly Bauji aka Ramprasad played by Naseeruddin Shah, we get a glimpse of all the family dynamics, and kitchen politics. All the characters have their share of insecurities and expertly take us on their individual journeys as they discover their own selves.
