This belief triggers events that showcase the human psyche under extreme pressure. The plot masterfully captures the island's residents' candid confessions, superstitious beliefs, and impulsive actions as they grapple with the possibility of an impending doomsday. As the days pass, the residents' behavior becomes increasingly erratic, and their superstitious beliefs deepen.
