Bajirao Mastani World TV Premiere on Colors

Bajirao Mastani was one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies in 2015. The movie had an extremely talented cast, with Ranveer Singh playing the lead role of Bajirao. His rumored girlfriend Deepika Padukone, played the role of his on-screen love Mastani. Deepika and Ranveer are two of the biggest names in Bollywood currently, and casting them as on-screen lovers was a brilliant decision by Director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. There was also the supremely talented Priyanka Chopra, who played the role of Kashi Bai. With such a star studded cast, the movie was always going to be a blockbuster.

The movie shows the political situation of India in the 18th century. Bajirao was desperately trying to expand his empire fighting away the Mughals. He was deeply in love with his wife, Kashi Bai, but then everything changed one day when suddenly Bundelkhand requested them for protection. At the battle, Bajirao met Mastani, the brave warrior and deeply feel in love with her. Very soon, Mastani secretly entered their palace and both of them married, despite strong opposition from his family members because Mastani was from a Muslim family. 

The main reason behind the success of the movie was the brilliant cinematography. Each of the war scene was intense and has been shot brilliantly by the director. It is visually stunning. The acting of the lead superstars complemented the brilliant direction, and unsurprisingly this movie was the critics favorite. In the recent Filmfare awards, Bajirao Mastani won nine major awards including the Best Actor and the Best Actress. At the Star Guild awards also, Bajirao Mastani was the major winner with 9 awards. Ranveer Singh bagged the Best Actor award in almost all the award functions.
