Filmfare Awards is the highest honor that Bollywood film industry bestows upon its people. The 63rd Filmfare awards celebration was organized in Mumbai on 20th January and the entire Hindi film industry came together to make it a spectacular event. The event which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar is going to be broadcast on Colors TV Live, this Sunday.

Jio 63rd Filmfare awards was organized for honoring the best of movies that had a release in 2017. The talented actors, directors, singers, musicians, and writers that were a part of these movies and made them successful were recognized and exalted in this Award function.
Many talented personnel who worked for several films like Hindi Medium, Bareilly ki Barfi, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Secret Superstar, Tumhari Sulu, Kaabil, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Mom, Raees, Newton, Lipstick Under My Burkha, A death in the Gunj, etc. were nominated in diverse categories.
Of the many nominated for the best actor and supporting actor award, there are the most talented individuals like Irrfan Khan for Hindi Medium, Akshay Kumar for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Hrithik Roshan for Kaabil, Shah Rukh Khan for Raees, Amir Khan for Secret Superstar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui for Mom, etc.
In the actress category Alia Bhatt was nominated for Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Bhumi Pednekar for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Zaira Wasim for Secret Superstar, Sri Devi for Mom, Konkona Sen Sharma for Lipstick Under my Burkha, Vidya Balan for Tumhari Sulu.
The top films like Hindi Medium, Secret Superstar, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Bareilly ki Barfi, and Badrinath Ki Dulhania have been nominated in the best film category.
Directors like Shree Narayan Singh of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Saket Chaudhary of Hindi Medium, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari of Bareilly ki Barfi, Advait Chandan of Secret Superstar etc., have been nominated for the Best Director Award.
Music Directors Pritam, Amit Trivedi etc., Lyricists like Amitabh Bhattacharya, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Kausar Munir, etc., Playback singers like Arijit Singh, Akhil Sachdeva, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Meghna Mishra, Monali Thakur, Nikhita Gandhi, Shashaa Tirupati, etc., have been nominated for their work in prestigious films.
Revered films which have earned a reputation for being bold and realistic in contrast of the commercial Bollywood films, like Newton, Lipstick under my Burkha, A Death in the Gunj, Mukti Bhavan etc., have been nominated for the best film under the Critic’s Choice awards.
Performances
Another element for which the award shows have earned a reputation is the performances from top Bollywood Celebs. Many of the Bollywood’s esteemed actresses and actors and actresses graced the award function with their presence and vivid performances. Many of the audience who are interested in watching these shows are more interested in the performances and the presence of their favorite actors than the awards.
This award function too like the past ones packed some of the sizzling performances from the top stars like Shah Rukh Khan who also hosted the show, Ranveer Singh, Miss World Manushi Chhillar, Parineeti Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Leone, and Ayushmann Khurana.
